A Garnacha monvarietal that seeks both the maximum expression of the varietal origins of Rioja, and the only one of our vineyards, applying the most avant-garde production techniques. A wine that reflects thanks to the height of its vineyard and the age of the vines the nuances of freshness and elegance of the Garnacha variety.
Pure Garnacha grown in our highest situated vineyard (750 meters above sea level) with its unique deep red, ferruginous calcareous clay soil. The unusually cool and windy microclimate ensures that this wine is, in contrast to many other varietal Garnachas, not too much of everything, but highlights a perfect balance between power and concentration, as well as freshness and elegance - silky acidity, fine-grained tannins and floral appearance.
Red wine made from the variety Garnacha, sourced from very old low-yielding vines (>65 years).
After a manual picking, all the grapes are hand-selected, berry per berry, using vibration and selection tables. The destalked and uncrushed grapes macerate in conic stainless-steel tanks.
Long intracellular fermentations with indigenous yeasts. Natural extraction by gravity. Malolactic fermentation and 14 months ageing in new French oak barrels of different sizes (225l. / 500l. / 600l.).
One plot at an altitude of above 750m, with a ferruginous calcareous clay soil. Vine training system: Gobelet (bush vine system). Sustainable viticulture with 100% handcraft.
Concentrated, cherry red colour. Intensive notes of flowers and fresh red fruits; great complexity and harmony. Powerful but elegant on the palate. Very expressive, long and mineral finish.
